Did you know that symptoms such as Migraine, Fatigue, Depression, Colic and excessive vomiting in infants and children, “Wind and Flatulence, Cramps and Abdominal Pain”, Nausea, Diarrhoea or Constipation, Weight Problems, Excessive Sweating, Hormone imbalances such as Menstrual problems in women of all ages and bothersome Menopausal symptoms, Eczema and other skin conditions, such as Dermatitis and Urticaria, Asthma, Crohn’s disease, Ulcerative colitis and even Prostate cancer in men can have something in common?
These are all examples of symptoms one can get when one is allergic to milk products. Milk products usually mean cow products, but it is also common for allergy sufferers to get the same symptoms from both sheep’s and goat’s products. (Eggs do not belong to dairy products even though they are sold by the dairies and are therefore usually classified under the Dairy Products category).
The most common situation with a dairy allergy, is that one is allergic to the lactose in the milk, due to the lack of an enzyme in the body called Lactase. In this case, one does not have the ability to digest and absorb the lactose, i.e. the milk-sugar, in the small intestine where it is supposed to be broken down and absorbed and the milk-sugar is therefore passed on to the colon where it is broken down and can cause undesirable symptoms. With a lactose allergy, one can often tolerate butter, whilst the other milk products such as milk, cream, cheese and cow’s yogurt, cause symptomatic reactions.
Less common, but still as debilitating and unpleasant for allergy sufferers, is where one is allergic to one or more of the proteins in the milk. This is something that more commonly occurs in babies and some people even grow out of this as they get older.
Why am I bringing this up here?
It is mainly because I, myself, have had an allergy to dairy, actually as long as I can remember when I look back on my life. It was not until I was an adult, treating patients myself however, that I went on a journey of discovery which led me to the realisation that the symptoms I had struggled with growing up, simply vanished when I stopped eating dairy! It was that simple.
I used my findings to also help countless of my patients, get to the bottom of their ills. By determining and dealing with the root cause of their symptoms, they were able to cease taking the many painkillers and other forms of medication they were on. Of course, not all diseases and symptoms are caused by allergies, but it may be well worth you doing your own research to find the cause of your symptoms before taking perhaps completely unnecessary drugs that can even cause side-effects you did not have before.
There is nothing more rewarding and gratifying than solving a problem, and being able to help one’s fellow human beings find their way to a richer life is even better! If my many years of experience can be of help to you and your loved ones, or others who are afflicted with unpleasant and unwanted symptoms, then my life has been well worth living.
Good luck and have fun!
